There will be a huge biker rally the same weekend as the races are in La Crosse this year. It is S&S Cycles 50th here is a link to the latest news article: http://www.lacrossetribune.com/articles/2008/03/18/news/01cycle0318.txt

This also means that rooms will be a premium if they are not gone already. Plan accordingly.

How many couches have you got in your living room?

(And by couches, I ain't talkin' 'bout Sea Doos.) :)

No Camping on site, it is a city park that closes I think at 11:00 PM.

There is a camp ground called Pettibone Campground and RV park on the other side of the highway. Here is the web page for that place: http://www.pettiboneresort.com/

I don't have any room at my place currently. But if someone would like to pitch a tent (not a boner) in the back yard you are welcome, be warned that I live in the Hood though, but I also have two gaurd dogs and if I get what I want to get done by then it will be 100% fenced in.

I am going to give pettibone a call. Is anyone else interested in camping there?

I'll camp wherever everyone else does, just keep me posted - or book me a spot JB and just tell me who/when to pay.

Oh, and JB, or anyone else near Milwaukee for that matter, let me know if you want to caravan together. I may be doing some of the races solo this season. Not sure yet, but I know Gong may not make all of them, and I may have an extra spot on my 3-place trailer available for some of the races.

Again, unless there is some special agreement with the city I'm pretty sure that there will be no camping on site, especially with a city owned campground on the other side of the highway. The park closes at 11:00 city ordinance. They do and will patrol the area especially since all of the drowndings that have been happening over the past 10 or so years in the Mississippi (at Bar time). Pettibone RV is very inexpensive and offers everything from primative camping to all of the hookups you would need. The place is really nice. Oh, the manager of the place owns a couple superjets to boot...

Josh do you have the # of the camp ground I will give them a call and get set up for the weekend. And I will try to get ahold of Scott and see if we can camp on sight or not.

Scroll up and click on the link to the pettibone resort web page. It has all the information that you'll need. If you want to set up camp in my back yard you are more than welcome (5 min from the site). Coming from a locals perspective, I would like to see the city ordinances observed so they would like us to come back. There are some pretty picky people that sit on the parks board and patrol the streets up here.

Craig, don't you have a cousin that lives here?

Josh

Josh, your neighbors are very thankful that you want to protect them by putting up the fence but they say you should just MOVE! and take the hoods WITH!

HA! Sorry but I had to.

Protect them, I believe they protect themselves with glocks and pitbulls...
