Right from the horse’s mouth, I was going to keep this under wraps until the season kicked off, but due to unseasonable temps for the month of March testing has concluded and training is well ahead of schedule. As you all know, I have been the IJSBA rider’s rep for some time now. This has helped me forge relationships with racers and MFG's from around the world. A direct benefit of this is the simple fact that Hydrospace is the ski of choice for anyone who wants to win at any price. The results of some serious dyno testing and on water testing (thanks to the nice weather) have been recorded and the newly redesigned HSR S8 is ready to rocket off the line come June. I have to say that am very pleased with the handling and performance of this ski. As many saw in Havasu of '09 the S8 was quick as a bullet, but had some handling quirks. Well it turns out that those issues were fixed when more horse power was applied. The S8 is now rocking a Wankel-Garrett Turbo charger and the HP numbers can be seen upwards of 300+ with only 7.789 lbs of boost. This is well lower than what the 3 banger can handle. If one is willing to live on the edge, which is what you do on a HSR you can bump the boost pressure to 21.9489 lbs and it will produce close to 401 HP, 400.9879 to be exact, but who's counting here... You know how the saying goes: "When in Doubt, Gas It" Well that also applies to turbo charging and boost limits. So call me whatever you want, Trader yes... It is what it is. The price of a World Title is worth it.
