I thought I would shoot out a question for next years tour. With the release of the new 250hp kawi I was wondering if there is going to be a seperate 4 stroke class. I'm just wondering this because I own a 1300R and it will be at a huge disadvantage to the new 250hp kawi in the 1200 runabout stock. The only way the R would have a shot with keeping up is if I put triples on my boat but then the boat would not be able to run in stock, instead the limited class. So I'm just wondering if there will be adjustments in the classes next year?

That was going to be my answer also. When does the IJSBA release its rules usually?

The IJSBA might get the rules out by January this year... Historically though, by the World Finals

Go to www.IJSBA.com to give your imput on the rules for 07. You have until 11/14/06 to let them know what you want to see.

Nick,
don't jump the start. the Sea Doo has 215 horse power and no body raced the RXT only RXP ( 2 person). I thought like you for the first off but I can't help think that if it was going to compete
WHY DIDN'T THEY DEMO IT AT THE WORLD FINALS? Sea Doo did for the RXP

As a matter of fact when we attended the Twin Cities River Ride I raced david's GPR and took 2nd and Tricky took 4th with his 120 h.p. Honda and there was at least 8 RXT's 215 hp.

If your looking to buy the Kawi the dealer told me $200 over cost so I'm sure you could get the same.

Yeah, it will be interesting to see next year how the rest of the boats stack up against the new kawi. I'm a die hard yamaha fan so you wont see me turing to the dark side;). As for my dad he is possibly thinking of trading in his FX high output for the new Kawi. All im hoping for is courses with tight turns this year cause thats the only place im gonna have a chance at catchin the kawi. Already im itchin for next season!! Please have a race in downtown chicago!!
