Region 9 Lake City MN Race Canceled

This race was just canceled due to a lack of funding from the Waterski days festival... This is bad news, as this race has a rich history in watercross racing dating back to the early 80's at one point it was a National Tour Stop.

This really is too bad.[V] We always had a good time at this race. Sign-in Friday night was at a good restaurant, The Saturday night band was good even if I was too tired after racing in my old age to stay for the whole set. The lighted boat parade was nice, too. Just an overall good weekend.

What's really too bad is the number of tour stops Rod has this year.:( Wisconsin used to consistently bring 7 racers and sometimes a couple more. I'm not saying we made the tour, but he knew we were there. Rod and his crew are good people and I was looking forward to racing in Lake City. When I remove my recently broken handle pole, I'll be throwing away my last Team Wisconsin Region 9 Racing sticker. 2-3 of you had one of those on your boat. That was 2003, a great summer!

I'll have to be sure and tell the Americinn why I'm canceling my rooms.:(
