Bring a Racer, Bring a Spectator

I know we're always chatting about bringing new blood to the sport, and most of us take opportunities when we can to get pwc riders interested in becoming pwc racers, which is great...

Just don't forget that we could use a bunch more spectators too (not that anyone has forgotten this), but riders who just won't try racing, for whatever reason, should be encouraged to at least come and watch some races. Every little bit of interest and/or participation helps. Remember, everyone is potential spectator. If they like watching sports/racing of any kind either live or on TV, then they should be encouraged to come watch us. And don't forget to tell them it's FREE to show up, park, and get close to the action!!

I'll be working the Golf Show this weekend at State Fair Park (promoting the Indoor Golf Simulators in my store). I'll be handing out golf flyers/coupons to as many of the 9,000 show attendees we're expecting as I can - oh, and I'll also be handing out 8x11 GLW flyers to everyone who gets an indoor golf flyer from me. There's gotta be some golfers in SE WI that would come watch us in Kenosha, PP, and Sheboygan.

that is fantastic paul, hope you have fun in golf town this weekend i will be at work also. so i feel your pain... scott and i went all around k-town yesterday posting flyers talking to people and just getting the word out.. we might have a friend of mine that owns a pizza place selling hot dee-lish zaa there all weekend... it depends on other festivals in town.. all and all it was a good day... people where happy somthing like this is going to be happening here...The other thing is our race site in kenosha july 25-6 is a very very busy place there are always piles of people there, we will have tons of spectators, so that is cool...i would bet it will be the biggest,with exception to air and water show a few years back... we just have to cross our fingers on good weather,for the whole tour for that matter... i will be bring more posters around for next few weeks.. we hit 20+ places yesterday,focusing on the lake front stores,bars and of coursepower sport stores.. the weird thing was the guys at the stores where they sold skis where kinda jackasses, well i guess they dont want to sell boat.... sorry for being so paul s. on your asses.. i usally dont type this much...later

Alot of the comanies sponsorship programs are over already, most accept resumes from like nov,dec to march 1st. Atleast alot of the companies I looked at did.

That's true as far as most pwc-related sponsorships go.

I'm looking outside the box for sponsorship money. (Especially since there ain't much money inside the box.). Don't get me wrong, I appreciate my Riva Racing sponsorship (just saved $68 on a $200 order last week), but there's still plenty of other expenses where straight-up cash would sure come in handy.

I'd like to get my chiropractor to throw some cash my way ;).

Heck, for a fair price I'll put just about anybody's name on the sides of my skis. I don't care if they're pwc related or not...

Craig, Joe, and John should be renting the sides of their enclosed trailers to somebody willing to pay to have their "billboards" dragged all over Wisconsin (and to Tennessee).

Let someone else who (can benefit from the exposure) help pay for the gas it takes to tow those suckers.
