Hard to really think of the UWP race series "NBF" or "outlaw" racing, since I've heard they've consistently had strong sponsorship, solid racer payouts, and innovative thinking that attracts racers.

I guess we'll see what happens, but it seems that they believe their decision to leave the APBA will help them to continue to get better at what they do.

Times are-a-changin'...

It will... The writing is on the wall. There has been a constant drop in racer numbers since the start of the 2004 racing season... Anything else happen then?

... The answer is that the APBA took over racing in the U.S. There was also the USWRA, which in my opinion was better. But it divided a small sport into a smaller sport so the USWRA pulled out in august of '05.

NBF racing will be good this year. So will the GLWT.

Sweet! I wonder if they will have freestyle? We broke away from the IJSBA back in 2000 with the first Freestyle only tour. It has been going ever since and we still have at least 3 annual events! Glad to see more tours. Competition breeds innovation and improvement. It also sounds like this may be another way to qualify for the World Finals...
