Minibike Ban

Have all of you read and heard of this minibike ban? It seems to have already happened. no more fifties... no more minis... WTF??

Yep, I heard about it at the Don & Roys booth at the boat show last month. They're now stuck with a bunch of mini Polaris quads that Polaris won't even take back and give them credit for - they just have to basically throw them away. Friggin' insanity. I heard about a motorsports dealer in California who says 50% of their business is selling units and parts for the small bikes and quads - now it's all just GONE. Yeah, I know kids have been hurt by lead in toys, but there haven't been cases of kids licking their mini-quads and getting sick. This is what happens when lawmakers stop applying common sense. Pathetic...

Well, the salesman wouldn't admit it, but I'm gonna bet you'll see a bunch of new "anonymous" eBay sellers parting a few of these mini machines out.

Maybe a bunch will end up at 7-mile fair?

If it's leaded and rare, you'll probably find it right there!!!!

From what I have read you can't even sell them as used privately. Not even the parts. I wonder if they will be monitoring ebay and craigslist.

How could they not be sold privately. They will not just vanish. The Gov't banned 3-wheelers, yet they can still be bought and sold second hand. Let me guess now mini bike sales will be treated like drug sales... Gay Chit!

What about us adults that don't eat there toys (or at least don't complain when they get sick after they do)? Brock and I both have minis and we shred the parts... I don't know if this is true or not but in the thread on PWCToday they stated that hard cover books fall under this as well. I guess kids will just have to watch more tv to fill their free time.

I remember as a kid fishing using my teeth to close or open LEAD splitshot sinkers. WOW that explains everything.
