Hey all you Midwest freestyle fanatics... It is almost time to get wet!
Do we have any new freestylers out there? Do we have any returning freestylers out there? Let me know who is out there and who might be interested in a spring ride on the Chain of Lakes in Northern Illinois. Soon as the ice melts, Brock and I are planning to have a freeride gathering of sorts. Complete with waterside bon fire!

Welcome to your very own freestyle section, Gary. I'm just north of you guys, in Waterford (on the fox). I just stuck a 144mm bonzai bob pump in my fx1 last fall, and need to do some more motor tuning to get it perfect. Maybe I'll bring it out when you guys ride. Keep us posted, please...
I would like to come down as well. Bring out the 92 sx for the day after I get the pipe on and carb in tune.

Hey guys glad to hear some of you are looking to shred. I will keep everyone posted, and prolly have information up on Twangled.com too. We have a private launch on Lake Marie, so long as you bring your stand-up. Sorry its built for the small ones. Are you guys planning on doing any freestyle on the regional tour? You should it would be fun to get some guys out there. I am building a Vintage ski to get some laps in... lol.

Hey fox river... I bet that FX is gonna scream! Those skis are great. I still have mine from 98, but its not together. The pump was all that machine lacked. That and a 950... I am going to need to see that ski in action.

Get in some laps? I thought you guys only knew how to backflip OVER buoys, not actually negotiate your way around them ;). Maybe you could give me some freestyle pointers, and then I'd give it a shot. Yeah, my fx1 is a blast, my favorite play ski by far. I've always liked it a lot even with the 122mm pump. With the motor I've been running the past few years and this new 144, it will do even better, especially out in the surf on michigan. The toughest part was always keeping that little pump primed - not any more...
You should bring your blaster to Gary with the new sport spec class. I know there is at least one other that is looking to race that class.

Bring that FX1 out and we will get you freestylin. I actually started in the sport as a racer... but back in the day when there 650 entrees for a WFQ and you could be in race 1, 22, and 50 I decided to build a freestyle ski. Besides back then that was the cheap part of the sport...lol... who would have thought that one day it would take more than 50K to build a competitive ski for a freestyle contest. I raced ski, sport, and even runabout at one point or another.... but JB, the Blaster is gone. Traded up for that killer 650 Vintage ski.
