Bender Park is maybe 30 minutes from Joe.

Bender Park is very easy to get to. It's in Oak Creek (Milwaukee County). From I-94, you exit at Ryan Rd (southernmost exit in Milwaukee County) and go EAST on Ryan Rd/Hwy 100 about 5 miles. Hwy 100 then dead ends at the stoplights at Hwy 32/Chicago Rd. At those stoplights, you turn LEFT/NORTH for 1 BLOCK, then take your FIRST RIGHT/EAST back on to Ryan Rd again (yes, Ryan Rd kind of zig-zags - it got rerouted back in 1984 when they needed to widen Hwy 100 - and I was still living on Ryan Rd as a teenager with my folks). Anyhow, you then follow Ryan Rd. EAST about 1/2 mile to the entrance to Bender Park. CAN'T miss it. Launch fee is $8 if you pretend to be from Milwaukee, and $10 if you blab that you're from out-of-town. Parking is immediately adjacent to the beach and they are ski friendly on the beach there. Be sure to bring a beach stand. The whole park, beach, "marina", launches, facility w/bathrooms is less than 10 years old and is very nice. It's a launch-only marina (NO mooring like Winthrop Harbor), so it's very small, and the no-wake zone is maybe only 100yds or so. They have 6 or 8 launch ramps, so it goes quick.

If anyone needs more info, please feel free to contact me directly.

Well, since I KNOW Pat has never been to Bender, but I'm assuming he's maybe been to Joe's at some point, I figured he would surely need directions to Bender.

Better fix your steering right this time. Rocks at Bender make the Nashville rocks look like bb's.

Good times today. 8-10 ft at times. Need to stay longer next time and put my pipe on the SX. Needs a little more on the bottom end to get up the waves.

yes your were lucky. Really need someone out there just watching for guys that go down on a R/A. I know my ski got away form me once and I was lucky my buddy TJ was on the ultra to drag me back to it. I would never made it with out him. It was good times but also a bit on the F this your nuts to be out here.
