Vintage ski entry fee

Anybody know why the vintage ski entry fee doubled this year?

Granted, it's still the cheapest way to enter, but my ski is only worth $200:D.

Sorry about the price. I still have to provide the race course, the insurance, the ambulance, the permit to break all the law's without getting busted, the city or towns permission, the homeland security report, the staff to do the scoring, some trophy's, the time it takes out of the day to do the race and the safety crew.
So please keep that in mind when you come to race. A lot of things must be done before we even get to race day. I have spent the better part of the last 20 years racing jetski's every summer, i know the costs a racer deals with. If we are to keep a race tour in this part of the midwest we need funding, your entry fee's are the biggest part of that. I don't miss the 8 to 10 hour drive's to go racing PWC's.

No need to apologize, Scott. I know that Vintage has been getting off cheap (relative to the other classes) for a while now, and that your fixed costs don't change for guys like me that wanna race their old crap. I just hope the price won't stop us from filling up the line with the old skis.
